The entire team at Apodi is focussed on driving success for our clients. Our Senior Management Team comprises the following:


Tony Swift
Managing Director

Tony has had a hugely successful career both as a top sportsman and as a highly successful business leader. As a qualified accountant (ACA) he has worked extensively both in practice and commerce. His involvement in sport at international level sparked his interest in organisational strategy and execution. Tony passionately believes in the model which Apodi is bringing to the pharma/healthcare sectors, and is totally committed to making Apodi the leading provider of high performance outsourcing solutions. Steve Kerridge
Executive Chairman

In his role as Executive Chairman, Steve focuses on the strategic direction of the organisation together with business development. Previously he was a co-founder of In2Focus (a specialist contract sales organisation) and prior to that he was on the board of Innovex UK as Director of Operations. Steve studied at Caledonian University, Glasgow, and received a BSc Honours degree in microbiology. Having moved through various senior sales and marketing roles in companies including Roche and GSK, Steve has attained a wealth of business experience in managing, running and proactively advancing businesses. 


Mark Murphy
Business Unit Director, HR

Mark has spent over 30 years in the people management and development arena and has extensive experience of both UK and European HR issues including: strategy development, organisational development and design, competency development and performance management. Mark is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Member of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management. In addition, he is qualified in psychometric/occupational testing and a licensed business practitioner of neuro-linguistic programming.


Lynn Jeggo
HealthCare Operations Director

Joining Apodi following 15 years in the pharmaceutical sector, Lynn has had a variety of roles including Head of Marketing and a founding member of a very successful contract sales organisation for which she had responsibility for the entire marketing function. Her role at Apodi now includes being the Care Quality Commission’s Registered Manager and the Operations Director for the Healthcare business.


Gillian Fachiri

Gillian has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years and has held several senior industry positions and significant second and third line manager positions. Gillian was Operations Director at Innovex and In2Focus. At Apodi she has held positions of Resourcing Director, Operations Director and latterly HealthCare Operations Director, managing the delivery of multiple projects. Her CSO and Healthcare operational management experience is extensive, having worked on the delivery of a vast range of projects for many pharmaceutical companies. Currently Gillian focuses on key board projects within the business.


Sharon Sunley
Director of HR

Sharon joined the Apodi board after more than 30 years in senior HR roles across several industries including IT, pharmaceuticals and recruitment services. During this time, she was responsible for directing highly successful HR teams working in a range of small to large organisations. Her areas of expertise lie in the direction and development of HR and resourcing capability to augment business success in a commercial and practical manner.


Lynne Swift
Director of Finance

A founding director of Apodi, Lynne has extensive experience in the provision of finance and administrative services to a range of industry sectors. Recently, Lynne has been heavily involved in advising clients on business funding and the reorganisation and management of finance departments.



Sandra Rafferty
Operations Director

Sandra has successfully led and delivered a number of projects in the pharmaceutical outsourcing sector.  This has included working with customers and markets across Europe and the UK.  Sandra has over 16 years senior management experience in both strategic and operational roles with additional experience in HR, training & development and business development.  Sandra works closely with clients so she fully understands their current position and business challenges, which leads to the development of bespoke, comprehensive, flexible and high performing outsourcing solutions.


Dr Hywel Thomas
Non-Executive Director

Hywel's role as a Non-Executive Director, is to represent a group of Angel Investors who have provided seed capital funding to the company. Hywel's background is in healthcare having qualified from St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical School in 1981.  Hywel worked as a GP with special interest in respiratory medicine and clinical research. In 1997 with support from the ABPI and venture capital backing from GlaxoWellcome and HG Capital, Hywel founded and led Profiad, the UK's first network site management organisation.  Hywel can offer advice on medical and strategic issues.


Jan Cox
Business Development Director

Jan’s early career was in sales, management and training within the pharmaceutical industry before specialising in recruitment.  As managing director of a national pharmaceutical and healthcare recruitment agency she successfully grew the business over a period of six years to form a top three UK agency. During this time, she worked in senior business development and operational roles, managing many significant recruitment campaigns for major UK pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. At Apodi Jan is a key member of the BD team focussing on promotional sales solutions and resourcing.


Paul Todd
Director of Access Solutions

Paul joined Apodi from GSK where he was the senior director in Customer Solutions.  Paul has significant market access experience and knowledge of developing strategies in response to issues driving change for both the pharmaceutical industry and the NHS.  Paul is passionate about ensuring healthcare decision makers have access to the most appropriate information and resources to implement the best investment decisions and programmes for their patient populations.


Nick Spruce
Business Development Director

Nick Joined Apodi in 2017 having successfully worked at a senior business development and operational level within the industry for over 25 years. During the early part of his career, Nick held key sales and marketing roles at MSD, Glaxo Laboratories and Sanofi Winthrop.  He then went on to join Innovex/Quintiles in 1998 where he spent eight years in key senior leadership roles.  This included four years as operations director with leadership responsibility for over 300 sales team employees.  Post this Nick has held several senior business development posts within the pharmaceutical industry, providing him with excellent insight into the evolving market and a wealth of contacts in many different companies. 


Jo Paish
Head of Recruitment

Jo joined Apodi in 2016 as head of our recruitment team. A commercially astute professional with 26 years’ experience in delivering talent and 360 degree solutions across many industries  including bio technology, pharmaceutical, information technology and communications. Jo has built a reputation for delivering innovative and practical people related business solutions, that contribute to organisation strategy and growth.
